The Fire Prevention Bureau is responsible for collecting emergency incident data from fire departments throughout the state of Ohio. These reports are in electronic format and in the format of the Ohio Fire Incident Reporting Management System.

Escalated public records request are fulfilled by Fire Prevention Bureau staff looking at the request and interpreting what the requestor is looking for. Sometimes additional information is required.
Requests that have been sent back for clarification and have not been answered within 21 days will be closed. You can always put your request in again through our self-service portal or contact our office at the contact information above.
Search My PRR for non-logged-in users
If the user has created the Escalated PRR without logging into the Portal, then to search for the public record request, the public user can click on the “Search” button located in the bottom card in the “Search My PRR”
After clicking on the “Search” button, it will redirect to the “Search My PRR” screen as shown in the image below.
The public user has to enter the “Service Request Number” and the “PIN Number” that was visible to the public user while submitting the case.
After clicking on the “Search” button, it will display the PRR case in the grid.
After clicking on the Request Number, it will redirect to the case details page, where the public user can view the status and other details of their public record request.
You may need to give more details of what information you want to see. Please be detailed in your requests, it’s important for our staff to understand what you are looking for to fulfil your request.
